January 7th 2016: 25 brushes crafted for and with Krita 2.9, used for my comics… This is version 1 !Īpril 24th 2015: 12 brushes I craft since Krita 2.8, and finalized with Krita 2.9… They are working, but more work is needed ! This is a beta. Should work on any recent computer nevertheless □ CompatibilityĬompatible with Krita 2.9, and next point releases at least □ Changelog Theses brushes can be used with a stylus not supporting rotation, but are less interesting in this case.īrushes with a drop icon mix there colors with the color already on the canvas… so they feel “wet”.īrushes with mixing and rotation use more computing power than other brushes, especially when they are combined with textures. This allow to do thick and thin strokes, essentials for inking. – Poska: Small markers brushes inspired by the famous Poscas Small Iconsīrushes with a rotation icon are meant to be used with a stylus supporting rotation like the Wacom Art Pen (the best stylus I know if you want my opinion). – Pencil: a simple pencil for sketches, really similar to default Pencil 2B – Paint: Four brushes with rotation and mixing for “real” painting or watercoloring The best in my opinion are the two “power” ones, but are hard to use : I recommend the Dynamic Brush tool (N) to draw with it. Some experiments here, but everything is usable. – Ink: the most of the brushes are here, because I searched a lot to create an interesting ink brush for my comics. – Fill or Erase Shape: for quick filling, or quick erasing of large areas with the “E” shortcut. – Erase : One really hard (just erase that mistake now in one stoke) and one soft for shadings. Noise and not texture to make it quicker. These brush presets are premade and cover many different tastes. – Block allow to do large blocking of colors in speed painting for example. This is a free version of a GDguest Krita brushes pack that will make sure you will get. Slightly noising to allow soft mixing between colors. – Basic Brushes are the simplest, and the less demanding for your computer. Pros: Krita is the best software in terms of illustration that Ive used in my 12+ years in the industry it is far more intuitive than competitors like Adobe Photoshop because Krita has been developed primarily as illustrating software. It marries the ease-of-use in Adobe Illustrator with some of the more complex brushes and rastering in Adobe Photoshop although I use both latter products. – Airbrush is a textured airbrush for shading, it’s more interesting with a texture □ NamingĪs Krita tagging system is sometimes capricious, every brush preset start with “Nylnook” to quickly find them. I usually use them on a large canvas (minimum 2K)… so theses presets may look big on a smaller canvas. However, resetting the brushes can be a little more involved.Download the bundle, In Krita, go to Settings > Manage Resources… > Import Bundle/Resource, and make sure the bundle is in the Active Bundles column on the left. İlk olarak Ray tarafından gönderildi:Krita's settings can be reset from the various menus inside the "Settings" drop-down menu they usually have a "defaults" button in the lower left. This is all from my personal testing you might want to wait for developer response for confirmation. blacklist file is created because Krita never actually deletes a brush when you modify and overwrite it, instead it creates a new copy and "blacklists" the old one. However, if the only thing you want to do is remove all custom brushes and be left with the default ones, you only need to delete the "paintoppresets" folder and the "kis_paintoppresets.blacklist" file within the previously mention config folder. Krita will then re-create the config folder as needed. Erasing that folder (with Krita closed) will cause the program to revert all the settings to their default values, and delete all custom brushes, textures, etc. However, resetting the brushes can be a little more involved.Īssuming you're on Windows, the Krita configuration files are stored in your user's AppData/krita/share/apps/krita folder. Krita's settings can be reset from the various menus inside the "Settings" drop-down menu they usually have a "defaults" button in the lower left.
